Getting
started, a Basic Method.
Merry Meet one and all.
I have tried to keep this as printer friendly as possible.
If you are reading this it probably means you have no idea or only a vague notion as to what you can do to assist on this healing list. I assume that you have near zero knowledge of what to do. But and this is the important bit, you are here because you have a desire to help and it is your kindness of spirit and willingness to learn that is crucial. You are most surely not the only one reading this and will not be the last so hang on in. This is not a document for experts; they know what they are doing anyway.
First how hard is it?
Well it’s as hard or as easy as you want to make it. No one-way is the correct way and most people find a best way for themselves. The methods come from your intuition, your Deities and your circumstances. But as a beginner it’s useful to have some examples to adjust to suit yourself. My daughter is 9 and likes to help her friends when they are ill. She sits down quietly and writes a short spell that she then chants it whilst thinking about the friend she wants to help. I got her to write down one to share and this is it.
See this person here before me,
Full of illness and of woe,
All of this in them will leave,
And in happiness they will go.
If my 9-year-old daughter can do it, so can you. I think that the Goddess and God look kindly on this kind of ritual because it is done freely with generous love.
If you have never cast a circle or done a ritual before this is a good start. Write a chant of healing that you feel comfortable to use, (The Goddess and God know we are not all poets) or adapt one you have found. If you don’t have one, try this one.
Goddess within me Goddess without of me,
God within me God without of me
Your help is needed here this today
To heal this hurt and and send away
The suffering of this person.
The energy that is to be involved in the healing is generated by the repartition of the chant over and over again. You may well feel it building up inside of you. I go tingly all over start to shiver. But then what…you need to do something with the energy. If you have just chanted then, what’s the point? If you just release the energy it will go back to where it came from and not do an awful lot of good. You have to send it somewhere and get it to do something. This is why I ask for a name a country and a brief description of the need from people needing help. This is needed to “address the energy” If you do the chant whilst visualising the need and the name of the person (I believe your subconscious fills in the rest if you know the details such as country etc.) the energy will be generated with purpose and have a place/person to go to. In effect you now have raised energy and given it direction and purpose. Think of it as giving it as using the lens of your mind to give it a focus.
So you have raised energy and given it focus. The next stage is to release it and send it on its way. It is best to release the energy in one great whoosh of power. Reason for this can be thought of like this. Throw a ball as hard as you can and it may hit a wall, way of in the distance. i.e. it reaches a target and this requires a certain amount of energy to do. Throw the ball several times with little strength behind it and you will use up the same amount of energy (eventually) but never hit the wall (target). So go for one big whoosh… but how.
The way I release energy is this. When I feel I have raised all the energy I can contain I throw back my head and throw my arms out to the sky visualising the energy leaving me like a streak of blue/white lightening and then collapse down to the floor or just relax all your muscles. (It scared my cats to start with but they seem to be getting used to it! I also now have a hole in my lampshade)
Have a drink of something and maybe a biscuit or a snack when you are done. It helps to ground you to this existence as rituals can be moving experiences.
You now have a basic method that consists of
1) Raising energy for the healing
2) Giving that energy focus
3) Sending that energy to the recipient
The exact how and why it gets there is not a subject for this quick document but suffice to say it will and it does thanks to Deity and the ways of universal energy.
Just in case you are wondering why I also ask if the recipient is aware of the help being given, my answer is this. I clumsily liken it to trying to heat a room with an electric heater. You can send electricity to the room till the cows come home, but unless the heater is plugged in, it’s a bit of a pointless operation. A person must desire healing and be aware that energy is coming their way. (This is however not the only point of view, so try and think about it for yourselves.)
This type of ritual is more usually done within a sacred space or circle. This can prevent intervention by stray outside energy and act as a safe space were other help could be called on. This will be the subject of the next part but you are now able to assist. Thank you so much.
